PECHA KUCHA
Feb 3 2008, 3:48 PM EST | Post edited: Feb 3 2008, 3:48 PM EST
Introduce Pecha Kucha sessions so many short presentation can be welcomed in stead of only long 1 presentation sessions.
A Pecha Kucha is 20 slides of 20 seconds. with about 3.5 minutes for discussion and reflexion in between sessions, you can get 9 presentations in a 90 minute session.
Pecha Kucha is Japanese for 'sound of conversation'

Excellent suggestion that will cover more content than one general topic stretched to a 1 & 1/2 to 2 hour session Do you find this valuable?

It sounds like an interesting concept but I would extend the 3.5 minutes of discussion and reflexion to longer to allow for more ...sometimes the best ideas flow from participants in that time. Do you find this valuable?

Thanks Jake,
Maybe I should do a Pecha Kucha session on presentation formats in Vegas...

Totaly agree, we could do 15 minutes total for each presentation: 6min40sec for presentation and 8min 20sec for discussion. we could still cover 6 topics in a 90 minute session:
1 one on pecha Kucha,
2 one on Open space
3 one on Lego serious play
4 one on Un-conference
5 one on the learning meeting and
6 one on conclusions...
